Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive Junior IT Administrator to join our team. You will be the backbone of our daily office operations, ensuring our team has the tools they need to succeed from day one. Beyond standard IT support, you will play a critical role in maintaining our security posture by supporting our ISO 27001 and SOC2 compliance frameworks, and assisting with handling security questionnaires in regards to our security posture.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving technical puzzles, values organized documentation, and understands that "secure" is the only way to build modern IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Office IT & User Support

  • Manage and maintain office hardware (workstations, printers, AV equipment, and local networking).
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal technical issues, providing timely resolution for software and hardware requests.
  • Administer SaaS platforms (e.g., Google Workspace/Microsoft 365/Microsoft Intune, Jira, Hubspot).

2. Lifecycle Management (Onboarding & Offboarding)

  • Execute the full technical onboarding process: provisioning hardware, setting up accounts, sharing knowledge around policy and procedure.
  • Manage the offboarding process: ensuring immediate access revocation, data backup, and hardware recovery to maintain security integrity.

3. Security & Compliance

  • Assist in the evidence-collection process for ISO 27001 and SOC2 audits.
  • Perform regular access reviews and audit logs to ensure compliance with internal security policies.
  • Monitor and manage endpoint security (MDM/EDR) to ensure all company devices are encrypted and patched.

4. Automation & Networking

  • Maintain and troubleshoot office network infrastructure (VLANs, VPNs, and WiFi).
  • Write and maintain Python scripts to automate repetitive tasks, such as user provisioning or system health checks.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certifications: Background in ITIL foundations (to understand service lifecycles) and/or Network certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+).
  • Technical: Proficiency in Python for basic scripting and task automation.
  • Compliance Mindset: A fundamental understanding of security frameworks (SOC2/ISO 27001) and the importance of "audit-ready" documentation.
  • Experience with Jira Service Management or similar ticketing systems.

Preferred "Bonus" Skills:

  • Experience with MDM solutions (Jamf, Kandji, or Intune).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) or basic cloud administration (AWS/Azure).
